Identify #2

Five elements that are most important in a novel are:
                      1. Characters
                      2. Setting
                      3. Imagery
                      4. Plot
                      5. Suspense

The element "Characters" is the most important in my opinion cause certain characters draw me into the novel. The way the character looks, acts, thinks, and even speaks puts me in their shoes. I can connect with the characters and think like them. I feel what they feel and I can never put the book down. In my novel Shiver, their is a character names Sam. He is a werewolf, and is in love with Grace, a human. This winter is his last winter, and as the temperature drops, his muscles tighten and he knows he will change. the problem is if he will ever change back. Sam has lived a strange, dark, and lonely life. When he was a child his parents were abusive and he was an outsider. When he was bitten, his master, Beck, brought him in and treated him as a son. Sam has suffered loss, and pain. Certain experiences in his life is what draws him to Grace and that's what I find interesting. Sam and I have that in common. Characters all have different personalities and it  is even more unbelievable how an author can portray all those different personas in one novel.
